Our mission is to pour into you so that you can pour into your family. As a Village sister, you'll have access to training, coaching, and community 24/7 with our community app. We're serious about holding you down so you can lift your family up.
Clubs & Classes for Your Kids
Your membership includes self-paced, culturally affirming, and academically robust Science and Spanish classes for K-8. Even more, moms and kids-alike are invited to form and lead meetups and clubs in The Village such as our "Black Girl Magic" meetup, Science Club, and Storytime. While the classes are always available, club +meetup offerings are subject to change based on volunteer interests.
Community + Local Meetups for the Entire Family
We are real about building community in The Village and that's why we build each other up online and off. In addition to The Village App making it easy to connect with homeschool moms like you, we are building up regional cohorts for your whole family. Learn more about in-person groups further down.

Here's How Local Meetups Work
There are two types of in-person meetups that happen in The Village:

Sister Scheduled Meetups: Sister-scheduled meetups are just what they sound like. As a Village sister, you can plan and coordinate in-person meetups with your sisters in The Village. The app makes it super easy to do this- you just add your location and it shows you sisters near you. With this feature, you can start planning one-on-one and small group meetups immediately. This is included in your membership!

Regional Meetups: Regional meetups are Village-facilitated (and sometimes sponsored) trips and activities. Once there are enough families in your area, The Village will launch these regional groups that make it even easier for you to consistently connect in person. This is an additional benefit and once The Village is ready to kick off regional groups in your area, there will be an additional local fee if you choose to participate.

These two types of meetups are a WIN for you. This means whether there are 30 families in your area or just one, you can start connecting with folks in person when you join The Village.

We know that one of the best ways to support moms is with great resources for our families. That's why while our app community is currently for moms only, our in-person meetups are for the entire family and we have curriculum and online clubs + classes for our kids.

Dads (and other support people) welcome at in-person events. While our app is designed to be a safe space for melanated homeschooling moms to connect, The Village invites dads and support people to engage and participate at our in-person meetups. We know homeschooling is a family affair and love to see your whole family as we gather in person!

You pay one price for all the things. In an effort to support you and your family holistically, your Village membership is all-inclusive. The only things you'll pay additional for are things like outings you go on with other families, outside discounts, or Melanin Village Academy (which is discounted 50% for sisters).
